LoJack Helps CHP with Arrest of 3 Suspects, Recovery of Infiniti G35 Stolen in San Diego

On October 14, 2012, the owner of a 2005 Infiniti G35 contacted the San Diego Police Department to report that his vehicle was stolen from a parking structure in the city.
San Diego Police verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the Infiniti.
A short while later, officers from the San Diego Police Department and the California Highway Patrol picked up the silent LoJack homing signals from the stolen Infiniti on the Police Tracking Computers installed in their patrol vehicles. Following the directional and audible cues from the LoJack computers, the officers tracked the vehicle to the driveway of a residence in the 3200 block of Van Dyke Street in San Diego. The officers also found a 2010 Subaru parked next to the Infiniti, which was reported stolen to the San Diego Police earlier that day.
California Highway Patrol Vehicle Theft Investigators responded to the scene to continue the investigation. Further consent search of the residence resulted in the arrest of three suspects for vehicle theft and various narcotic charges. The investigation continues for a fourth suspect involved in the theft. They also discovered that the owners of the Infiniti G25 had a second Infiniti stolen from the same location that day.
The owner was very happy when California Highway Patrol contacted them to advise that the vehicle, valued at $19,000, was recovered undamaged.
