The owner of a 2004 Toyota Solara contacted the Tulsa Police Department to report their vehicle was stolen.  The Tulsa PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota Solara.

Approximately forty-five minutes after the activation, an officer with the Tulsa PD was just leaving the court house parking garage and picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Toyota with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officer tracked the LoJack signal while in the downtown area of Tulsa.

The officer tracked the stolen Toyota to an apartment complex parking lot located in the downtown area.  The Toyota was found to be parked and unoccupied.  Officers recovered the Toyota and it will be released back to the owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Toyota Solara in March 2004 at Palm Beach Toyota in West Palm Beach, Florida.
