The owners of a 2012 Toyota Tundra called the San Francisco Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from in front of their home in San Francisco, California.

The San Francisco PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota.

Less than 1 hour later, the San Francisco PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Toyota with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the San Francisco PD officers tracked the Toyota to the Outer Sunset area of San Francisco where the stolen Toyota was parked abandoned on the street.  The owners of the undamaged Toyota were contacted to recover their vehicle.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Toyota Tundra in June 2012 by Toyota Marin in San Rafael, CA.
