The owners of a 2005 Mercedes C-240 contacted the Gwinnett County Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from the driveway during the night. The Gwinnett County PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Mercedes.

The owners of a 2008 Mercedes Benz CLK contacted the Los Angeles Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen. The owners had left the Mercedes with the engine running in front of their residence. The son went to check on the Mercedes and observed the suspect driving away. The LAPD verified the theft
