Even though this Pleasanton, CA resident was enjoying eating lunch out that Monday afternoon, having his 2013 Lexus GS350 stolen from the parking lot surely left a bad taste in his mouth. It’s a good thing that he had the LoJack® Early Warning system installed when he bought his car, so he was notified by phone, text and email as soon as it was moved without his permission. He was able to give local police the heads up, so they could recover his vehicle quickly and without any damage.

On June 24th, 2013, the owner of the Lexus was dining at a restaurant in Pleasanton when he received a message on his mobile phone from his LoJack Early Warning System that his vehicle had been moved. He immediately called Pleasanton Police, who verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the vehicle, which was installed at Lexus of Pleasanton, CA.

A short while later, a Livermore PD officer picked up the homing signals from the Lexus with the LoJack tracking computer installed in his patrol vehicle. The officer tracked the Lexus as it was leaving a gas station, called for back-up, and stopped the vehicle. The juvenile driver and 2 adult passengers were arrested. The undamaged GS350, valued at $48,000, was soon returned to its grateful owner.
