The owner of a 2008 BMW 328 contacted the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department to report that his vehicle was stolen in the city of Carson.

The Los Angeles County SD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the BMW.

Within 13 minutes officers from the Corona Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen BMW with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the BMW to the 20 block of East Grand Ave in the city of Corona.

The LoJack® System was installed in the BMW 328 in March 2008 at Brecht BMW in Escondido, California.
