The owners of a 2007 Dodge Ram contacted the Redding Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen. The victim discovered the Dodge missing from the driveway of his residence.

The Redding PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Dodge.

Less than 10 minutes later officers from the Redding PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Dodge with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Dodge to the area of Dogwood and Buckeye Terrace in Redding. The Dodge was off the side of the road in a ditch. A male suspect was taken into custody and after further investigation was booked for auto theft.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Dodge Ram in November 2007 at Integrity Chrysler Jeep Dodge in Las Vegas, Nevada.
