LoJack® System Helps Tulsa Police Department Recover Stolen Dodge Ram 1500

The owners of a Dodge Ram pickup contacted the Tulsa Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from a residence in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The Tulsa PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Dodge.

A short while later an officer with the Tulsa PD Gilcrease Division picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Dodge with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officer tracked the Dodge to the 2300 block of S Urbana in Tulsa.

Additional officers arrived at the location as the Dodge was occupied by two individuals. The two subjects in the Dodge were arrested. Upon searching the Dodge subsequent to the arrest, illegal drugs were found on the floorboard.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Dodge Ram in March 2005 at Moss Brothers Dodge in Riverside, California.
