The owners of a Honda CRV-LX contacted the Riverside Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen in the city of Riverside.

The Riverside PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda.

A short while later, officers from the Riverside PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Honda with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Honda to the area of Mitchell and Cypress Street in Riverside.

The Honda was previously entered as stolen five days prior by the Riverside PD, tracked and recovered via the LoJack® System by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Honda CRV in March 2008 at Goudy Honda in Alhambra, California.
