The owner of a 2013 Scion FR-S contacted the San Diego Police Department to report that his vehicle was stolen while parked in front of his residence in the city of San Diego.

The San Diego PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Scion.

Within 22 minutes, officers from the San Diego PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Scion with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Scion to a residential neighborhood located in the 2900 block of Camino Del Rio North in San Diego.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Scion FR-S in July 2013 via California Direct Sales in Los Angeles.
