The owners of a 2013 Toyota Corolla contacted the Chula Vista Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen in the city of Chula Vista.
The Chula Vista PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota.

Within 18 minutes officers from the Chula Vista PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Toyota with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Toyota to a residential area located in the area of the 100 block of Montgomery Street in west Chula Vista.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Toyota Corolla in May 2013 at Toyota of Chula Vista in California.
