It was a big shock for the owner of an Infiniti G35 when he discovered his vehicle missing from his driveway in Hayward, CA, on a recent Saturday. Because this car had been protected with the LoJack® system when it was purchased, local law enforcement, assisted by LoJack, recovered it in less than 30 minutes after activation.

On July 5th, 2014, the Infiniti’s owner contacted the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack device concealed in the G35, which was installed at Infiniti of Oakland, CA, was then automatically activated.

Less than a half hour later, Alameda County Sheriff’s deputies picked up the silent homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The Infiniti was found parked and abandoned on a side street in downtown Hayward. Deputies retrieved the undamaged G35 and soon returned it to its appreciative owner.
