The owner of a 2012 Toyota Camry contacted the Philadelphia Police Department to report his vehicle stolen during the overnight from his driveway in the City of Philadelphia. The Philadelphia Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the 2012 Toyota Camry.

A short while later officers from the Philadelphia Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal coming from the stolen Toyota with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to a parking lot on Cottman Avenue in Northeast Philadelphia. The vehicle was located parked and undamaged.
