LoJack System Helps Chicago Police Department Recover Stolen C-HR taken form Forest Park

The owner of a 2019 Toyota C-HR contacted the Forest Park Police Department to report that their stolen from in front of their residence on the 7300 block of Randolph Street. The owner stated he had left the keys in the vehicle. Forest Park  police arrived on scene verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota.

A short while later a Chicago squad from the Town Hall District  equipped with a LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft picked up the silent LoJack signal from the Land Rover. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the Toyota was located parked and unoccupied on the 800 block of West Irving Park Road. Police established a surveillance of the Toyota. When no one returned to it, Chicago Police recovered the stolen Toyota and towed it for evidence processing and safekeeping.

The Toyota was recovered undamaged and returned to a grateful owner

The LoJack® System was installed in the Toyota C-HR in May 2019, at Elmhurst Toyota, Elmhurst Illinois.
