The
owner of a Land Rover contacted the Alsip Police Department to report their Land
Rover LR3 stolen from in front of their residence on the 5900 block of W. 124th
street. Alsip police arrived on scene verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and
federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Land Rover LR3.
A short while later a Dolton squad vehicle equipped with a LoJack Police
Tracking Computer (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft

directional and audible cues from the PTC, the Land Rover was located in a parking

established a surveillance of the Land Rover. When no one returned to it,
Dolton Police recovered the stolen Land Rover and towed it for evidence
processing and safekeeping.
Police recovered the Land Rover undamaged and returned to a grateful owner
The LoJack® System was installed in the Land Rover in December 2006, at Luxury Motors, Franklin Park, Illinois.
