Lojack System Helps Baltimore City Police Department Recover Stolen Honda Civic

The owners of a 2019 Honda Civic Sport contacted the Baltimore City Police Department to report their vehicle stolen from the 3600 Woodley Avenue in the Hamilton area of Baltimore City, Maryland. Baltimore City Police dispatched an officer from the 4th district to the location and the officer upon arrival obtained all the vehicle information and searched the area for the vehicle. After not locating the vehicle, a stolen vehicle report was completed. Baltimore City Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the 2019 Honda Civic Sport.

After a short while, officers from the Baltimore City Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signals from the stolen 2019 Honda Civic Sport with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles and helicopters. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to the 3300 Cliftmont Avenue in the Belair-Edison area of Baltimore City, Maryland. At this location, officers observed the vehicle parked and unoccupied. Officers recovered the undamaged vehicle and notified the owner notified.
