The owner of a 2018 Atlas Copco Generator contacted the Miami Dade to report his generator stolen after he returned to the worksite and found it missing.  The Miami Dade Police Department verified the theft and had the generator information entered into the state and federal crime computers.  This routine action automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Atlas Copco.

A short while later officers from the auto theft task force picked up the silent LoJack signals from the stolen Atlas Copco with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTCs) installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from their PTCs, the officers tracked the generator to a field at the 14800 block of NW 11th avenue, in Miami Dade County, where it was recovered.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Atlas Copco Generator in May 2018 as a Commercial Installation.
