The owner of a 2002 Jaguar XTY contacted the Los Angeles Police Department to report that his vehicle was stolen from the city of Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Jaguar.

Within a few minutes, officers from the Riverside Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Jaguar with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Jaguar to the 6800 block of Dorinda Drive in the city of Riverside.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Jaguar XTY in August 2001 at Hornburg Jaguar in Santa Monica, California.
