The owner of a 2017 Honda CRV contacted the San Pablo Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen. The victim stated they discovered their Honda missing from a parking lot in the 1500 block of Rumrill Boulevard.

The San Pablo PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda CRV.

A short time later, officers from the Richmond Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the Honda with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) which are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the stolen Honda to the area of the 300 block of 41st Street where the vehicle was found unoccupied.

The Honda was recovered and released to the owner at the scene.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Honda CRV in March 2017 at Honda of El Cerrito in California.
