The owner of a 2007 Audi A4 contacted the San Diego Police Department to report that his vehicle was stolen in the city of San Diego.

The San Diego PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Audi.

Within 7 minutes, officers from the Chula Vista Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Audi with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Audi to the 1000 block of Helix Street in the city of Chula Vista.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Audi A4 in July 2006 at Pacific Audi in Torrance, California.
