The owners of a Honda Accord contacted the Blythe Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen in the city of Blythe.

The Blythe PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda.

At a later time, officers from the Blythe PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Honda with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Honda to the 400 block of South 6th Street in the city of Blythe.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Honda Accord in July 2004 at Sierra Auto Cars Pontiac Honda in Monrovia, California.
