The owner of a 2015 Nissan Rouge contacted the San Diego Police Department to report that her vehicle was stolen while parked in the street in the city of San Diego.

The San Diego PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Nissan.

Within a short time later, officers from the San Diego PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Nissan with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Nissan to a residential neighborhood located in the 5900 block of Linnet Street in San Diego.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Nissan Rouge in December 2014 at Mossy Nissan in National City, California.
