The owner of a Chevrolet Silverado contacted the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department to report that his vehicle was stolen in the city of Moreno Valley.

The Riverside County SD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Chevrolet.

Within 5 minutes, deputies from the Riverside County SD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Chevrolet with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the deputies tracked the Chevrolet to the area near Day Mountain Road and Eucalyptus Street in the city of Moreno Valley. A traffic stop was made; two suspects were taken into custody for vehicle theft and possession of stolen property.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Chevrolet Silverado on June 2005 at Singh Chevrolet in Riverside, California.
