The owner of this Lexus ES350 discovered that his vehicle had been stolen from in front of their residence and reported the theft to the Fresno Police Department. The Fresno PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Lexus.

About 90 minutes after the LoJack® System was activated, an investigator with the Fresno HEAT, the Fresno County Auto Theft Task Force, picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Lexus with the LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the investigator tracked the Lexus to the vicinity of Peach and McKinley avenues in southeast Fresno. The Lexus was located abandoned and unoccupied, parked at the curb in a residential area. The Lexus was recovered intact and undamaged; it was stored pending release to the owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in this Lexus ES350 in June 2006 at Lexus of Santa Monica in California.
