The owners of a 2012 Infiniti M37 contacted the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to report that her vehicle was stolen from the 840 block of Ranch Dr. The owner had pulled into the parking lot of a grocery store and hit a curb with the tire while entering the parking lot. The owner left the Infiniti running and left the key fob in the center console while she got out and walked around the vehicle to check the tire. While she was looking at the tire a male jumped into the Infiniti and drove it away so the owner called the police.

A police officer verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Infiniti.

A short while later officers from the Las Vegas Metropolitan PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Infiniti with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTCs) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.

Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Infiniti to the parking lot of a grocery store in the 4800 block of South Maryland Parkway where they found it unoccupied and unharmed. The Infiniti was recovered and returned back to the happy owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Infiniti M37 in March of 2007 at Infiniti of Mission Viejo in California.
