The owners of a 2017 Toyota RAV4 contacted the Stockton Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen. The victim stated as they exited a business and entered their Toyota they were approached by two male suspects who had a board and swung it at the driver’s window breaking it. The suspects ordered the victim out of his Toyota. The victim complied and the suspects then entered the Toyota and fled.

The Stockton PD verified the theft/carjacking and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota.

A short while later officers and deputies from the Stockton Police Department and the San Joaquin Sheriff’s Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Toyota with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Toyota to a residential area near the 1200 block of Denver Ct in Stockton. The officers conducted a felony traffic stop and took two suspects into custody without incident.

After questioning the suspects were arrested and booked for carjacking and possession of stolen property.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2017 Toyota RAV4 in April 2017 at Toyota Town in Stockton, California.
