The owner of a 2006 Nissan Maxima contacted the Fontana Police Department to report that his vehicle was stolen in the city of Fontana.

The Fontana PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Nissan.

Within a short while, deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Nissan with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the deputies tracked the Nissan to the area of Cloverdale and Market Place Blvd in the city of Eastvale.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Nissan Maxima in August 2006 at Enterprise in Covina, California.
