The owner of a 2015 Dodge Charger contacted the Oakland Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen. The victim stated they discovered their Dodge missing from in front of their residence in the 300 block of 105th Avenue.

The Oakland PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Dodge Charger.

A short time later, a deputy from the Alameda County Sheriff’s Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Dodge with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) which are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the deputy tracked the stolen Dodge to the area of the 5800 block of Tevis Street in east Oakland, where they found the stolen Dodge parked, unoccupied at the curb.

The Dodge was recovered and the very grateful owner responded to the scene to pick up their vehicle.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Dodge Charger in January 2016 at San Leandro Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in San Leandro, California.
