The owner of a 2016 Volkswagen Jetta contacted the Corona Police Department to report that his vehicle was stolen in the city of Corona.

The Corona PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Volkswagen.

A short while later officers from the Corona PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Volkswagen with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Volkswagen to the 2600 block of Buena Vista Street in the city of Corona.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Volkswagen Jetta in March 2016 at Riverside Metro Auto Group in California.
