The owner of a Honda Accord contacted the Cathedral City Police Department to report that his vehicle was stolen in Cathedral City.

The Cathedral City PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda.

At a later time, officers from the Cathedral City PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Honda with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Honda to the area of San Diego and Mia Drive in Cathedral City.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Honda Accord in June 2000 at Gardena Honda in California.
