The owner of a 2005 Jaguar STY contacted the San Diego Police Department to report that his vehicle was stolen in the city of San Diego.

The San Diego PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Jaguar.

At a later time, officers from the San Diego PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Jaguar with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Jaguar to 44th Street and Red Wood Avenue in the city of San Diego.  A traffic stop was made; two suspects were arrested for vehicle theft and possession of stolen property.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Jaguar STY in January 2006 at Hornburg Jaguar in Santa Monica, California.
