The owner of a 2016 Honda Civic contacted the San Diego Police Department to report that his vehicle was stolen in the city of San Diego.

The San Diego PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda.

Within a short while, officers from the San Diego PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Honda with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Honda to the 1500 block of 50th Street in the city of San Diego.  A traffic stop was made and a suspect was arrested for vehicle theft and possession of stolen property.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Honda Civic in June 2016 at Poway Honda in California.
