The owner of a 2005 Audi TT contacted the Riverside Police Department to report that his vehicle was stolen in the city of Riverside.

The Riverside PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Audi.

Within a short time later, deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Audi with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the deputies tracked the Audi to a casino located in the 23333 block of Soboba Road in the city of San Jacinto.  Security tapes were reviewed and two suspects were identified driving the Audi.  Both suspects were located and arrested for vehicle theft and possession of stolen property.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Audi TT in December 2004 at Rusnak Pasadena Porsche Audi in Pasadena, California.
