The owners of a 2007 Infiniti G35 contacted the Montebello Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen and gave a name and description of a female suspect. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Infiniti G35.

A short while later the Montebello PD officers were notified that the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department Air 7 flight deputies had picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Infiniti with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, Air-7 tracked the Infiniti to the 1100 block of Pollock St, City of Rosemead, and located the vehicle parked in a driveway at a residence. While the officers were examining the Infiniti a female exited a residence and walked up to the officers asking what was wrong.  When asked her name, the female gave her name which matched the original information as the suspect and was placed under arrest without further incident.  She was transported to the Montebello PD station and booked for the theft of the Infiniti. The Infiniti was later returned to the owner/victim.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Infiniti G35 in February 2007 at AutoNation in Torrance, California.
