The owner of a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado contacted the Riverside Police Department to report that his vehicle was stolen in the city of Riverside.

The Riverside PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Chevrolet.

At a later time, officers from the Riverside PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Chevrolet with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC the officers tracked the Chevrolet to the 1100 block of Lorenzo Street in the city of Riverside.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Chevrolet Silverado in December 2010 at Rotolo Chevrolet in Fontana, California.
