The owner of a 2006 Ford F350 contacted the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department to report that his vehicle was stolen in the city of Moreno Valley.

The Riverside County SD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford.

A short while later, deputies from the Riverside County SD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC the deputies tracked the Ford to the 17000 block of Camino Del Rey in Moreno Valley.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford F350 in September 2005 at Hamborg Ford Inc. in Norco, California.
