The owner of a 2012 Nissan Altima contacted the San Diego Police Department to report that his vehicle was stolen in the city of San Diego.

The San Diego PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Nissan.

Within 26 minutes officers from the La Mesa Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Nissan with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC the officers tracked the Nissan to the 500 block of Harwell Drive in the city of San Diego.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Nissan Altima in September 2016 at Poway Chrysler Jeep in California.
