The owner of a 2011 Hyundai Sonata contacted the Henderson Police Department to report their vehicle as stolen. The Henderson PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Hyundai.

Within 10 minutes after the activation, officers with the Las Vegas Metro Police Department and a K9 officer picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Hyundai with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the K9 officer tracked the Hyundai and located it unoccupied. The stolen Hyundai was recovered and will be reunited to the owner.
