The owners of a 2009 Toyota Camry contacted the Brawley Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen in the city of Brawley.

The Brawley PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota.

Within 10 minutes, deputies from the Imperial County Sheriff’s Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Toyota with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the deputies tracked the Toyota to a commercial area located in the 200 block of West Main Street in Brawley. The deputies contacted the Brawley PD who responded for the recovery.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Toyota Camry in April 2009 at Valley Hi Honda in Victorville, California.
