The owners of a 2007 Infiniti G35 contacted the Los Angeles Police Department West Valley division to report that their vehicle was stolen.

The LAPD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Infiniti.

A short time later, patrol officers from the Simi Valley Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Infiniti with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Infiniti to a parking lot in the area of the 500 Block of Cochran Street. The officers deployed on the Infiniti. The suspects were observed leaving a store and then entering the stolen Infiniti. The officers conducted a traffic stop on the Infiniti and took two suspects into custody for auto theft related charges without incident.

The Infiniti was impounded for safe keeping.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Infiniti G35 in January 2011 at Parkway Infiniti VW in Valencia, California.
