The owners of a 2016 Chrysler 200 contacted the San Fernando Police Department to report that a vehicle was stolen from their dealership.

Officers from the SFPD responded and completed an embezzlement report which was turned over to the detectives for investigation. The detectives verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Chrysler.

Ten (10) minutes later, patrol officers from the Los Angeles Police Department Pacific division picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Chrysler with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Chrysler to the area of 96 street and Sepulveda Blvd. The officers located the Chrysler parked in a parking lot. The investigation is being conducted by detectives from the San Fernando PD.

The Chrysler was impounded for prints.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Chrysler 200 in September 2015 at Rydell Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram in San Fernando, California.
