The fleet manager for a dealership contacted the San Diego Police Department to report that their 2016 Jaguar F-Type was stolen from their lot in the city of San Diego.

The San Diego PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Jaguar.

Within 29 minutes, deputies from the San Diego County Sheriff’s Departments picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Jaguar with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the deputies tracked the Jaguar to a residential neighborhood located near the intersection of Chicago Drive and Denver Drive in the city of La Mesa.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Jaguar F-Type in August 2015 at San Diego European Motors LTD in San Diego, California.
