The owner of a 2005 BMW 330 convertible contacted the Oklahoma City Police Department to report the BMW was stolen from NW 26th and N. Military Ave. in Oklahoma City.

The Oklahoma City PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activates the LoJack® System concealed in the stolen BMW.

A short while later, Oklahoma City PD’s flight crew flying Air-One picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen BMW with the LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC) installed in patrol cars and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC the flight crew was able to quickly track the signal to the area of NW 11th and Hudson Ave in Oklahoma City.

Officers in scout cars were directed into the area by the flight crew. Upon responding and arriving in the area officers were able to quickly locate the stolen BMW in the 1100 block of N. Hudson Ave. When located the BMW was parked, unoccupied and in good condition. The recovery of this stolen BMW was a mere 23 minutes from the time the information on the vehicle was entered by the police. The owner of the BMW was notified of the recovery and was reunited with their vehicle.

The LoJack® System was installed in this BMW 330 in January 2005 in Beverly Hills, California.
