The owner of a 2002 Infiniti Q45 contacted the North Las Vegas Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen.

The North Las Vegas PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Infiniti.

Just 13 minutes after the entry, officers from the North Las Vegas PD and Las Vegas Metro Police Department and troopers with the Nevada Highway Patrol picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Infiniti with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Infiniti and found it parked at a casino on the strip.  The Viper team arrived and set up surveillance on the stolen Infiniti.  After a short time, Viper detectives recovered the Infiniti and had it towed from the scene for safekeeping.  The Infiniti will be released back to the owner at a later date.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Infiniti Q45 in December 2003 at AutoNation Infiniti South Bay in Torrance, California.
