The owner of a 2006 Hummer H-3 contacted the San Diego Police Department to report that his vehicle was stolen while parked in front of his residence in the city of San Diego.

The San Diego PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Hummer.

Within 35 minutes, officers from the San Diego PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Hummer with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Hummer to a residential neighborhood located in the 800 block of Hotel Circle South in San Diego.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Hummer H-3 in February 2006 at Weseloh & Sons Chevrolet in San Juan Capistrano, California.
