The owner of this Acura contacted the Fresno Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen.  The Fresno PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Acura.

Ten minutes after the LoJack was activated, a deputy with the Fresno County Sheriff’s Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Acura with the LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the deputy tracked the Acura to the rear parking lot of a motel near Blackstone and Bullard avenues in north Fresno. The deputy found the unoccupied Acura parked in parking stall. The Fresno PD also responded and conducted an investigation which led to the collection of evidence and a video surveillance tape which may lead to the identification of the suspects. The Acura was recovered intact and undamaged; it was released to the owner at the scene.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Acura RSX in May 2002 at Downey Acura in California.
