The owner of a 2005 Scion xB contacted the Las Vegas Metro Police Department to report their vehicle was stolen. The Las Vegas Metro PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Scion.

Around 30 minutes after the stolen vehicle entry, officers and a K9 unit with the Las Vegas Metro PD along with officers from the Henderson Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Scion with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Scion locating it unoccupied. Through further investigation and outstanding police work, officers located the female offender and took her into custody. The Scion was recovered and will be released to the owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Scion xB in May 2005 at Northridge Toyota in California.
