The owners of a 2013 Dodge Ram 1500 contacted the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department to report their vehicle was stolen in the city of Winchester.

The Riverside County SD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Dodge.

Within 9 minutes, officers from the Escondido Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the Dodge with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Dodge to the 600 block of Astorga Street in the city of Escondido. One suspect was taken into custody, arrested for vehicle theft and possession of stolen property.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Dodge Ram 1500 in February 2013 at Poway Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram in Poway, California.
