The dealership manager in charge of fleet contacted the Riverside Police Department to report their vehicle, a 2016 Chevrolet Cruze, was stolen. The theft occurred after they had repossessed it from the owner who had purchased it by fraudulent means in the city of Riverside.

The Riverside PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Chevrolet.

A short while later, officers from the Riverside PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Chevrolet with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Chevrolet to the customer who had purchased it fraudulently and stole it from the dealership after the repossession. He was arrested for vehicle theft and possession of stolen property.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Chevrolet Cruze in September 2015 by Singh Chevrolet Suzuki in Riverside, California.
