The owners of a 2015 Dodge Journey contacted the Los Angeles Police Department Foothill Division to report that their vehicle was stolen.
The LAPD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Dodge.

A short time later, patrol officers from the LAPD Topanga division picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Dodge with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Dodge to the area of Roscoe Blvd and Winnetka Ave. The Dodge was located parked on the street.
The Dodge was impounded for safe keeping.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Dodge Journey in September 2014 at Champion Dodge in Downey, California.
